Dear Visitors, Thank you for visiting Beckham Magazine. Beckham Magazine is 100% Unofficial. This site is NOT personally connected with, nor are they in any way personally endorsed by David Beckham. Beckham Magazine is non-profit driven fansite set up by the webmaster Daniel Ng Weita. Advertisements and sponsorships on the website are ways to cover the enormous server and hosting costs. June 2000 Magnificent7 was set up back in June 2000. The main aim is to create a Beckham fanzine where fans will meet and feel belonged. It was named Magnificent7 due to the fact that David was wearing the number 7 shirt at his old club Manchester United and he is absolutely a magnificent player. I also decided that the site will adopt the look of a magazine which fans will browse and read through like one. Which explains why I called it "The Online David Beckham Graphics Magazine" The establishment of Magnificent7 wasn't smooth however. The site had it's ups and downs, coped with server problems, hackers, copiers etc. Back then the url of Beckham Magazine was http://magnificent7.cjb.net . A free url redirection provided by http://www.cjb.net June 2001 Nearing to the end of 2001, I took a step forward as I bought a domain name "www.beckham-magazine.com". I also dropped the word 'Graphics' from the title"The Online David Beckham Graphics Magazine". June 2003 During the summer of 2003, David Beckham made the famous transfer from Manchester United to Real Madrid. To mark the occasion, Beckham Magazine had a major make-over. As David Beckham had to give up his favourite shirt number 7 to Raul, the star spanish striker at Real, the site name Magnificent7 had to go. I decided to name it as Beckham Magazine - The Online Beckham Fanzine. The new site boasted several new features and a refreshing image which browses through more a like a real football magazine. Recognition All the hardwork didn't go unnoticed as Beckham Magazine was recommended by various media and sources. They include Shoot Monthly Magazine (UK), Web User (UK), BBC online (UK), The Newpaper (Singapore).
